Whats the best time for a beach session? The ideal time for a beach session is the last couple of hours of the day through sunset. This time of day offers a much softer, more flattering light.
How long does a portrait session take? This depends on the number of people you have in your group. We allot 2 hours for the session, but generally it is much shorter.
How many poses/shot do you take during a session? We don't have a set number or limit on shots or poses. We generally shoot several shots of your entire family, shots of the children, lots of candids. In addition to this we can shoot any special groupings that you have in mind.
What is a proof/proof set? Your proof set will contain, the best of your session. We edit for the best shots, touch up distracting elements etc.,
color correct and print the proofs in 4x6 size. Your proofs will include an image number and a copyright watermark on the front. see example
Can I keep the proofs? Yes the proof set is yours to keep. Many people use them for collages or scrap booking.
Can I copy the proofs? No, all images are copyright protected, and owned by the studio.
How many proofs will I get? This varies with each session. You will receive a minimum of 30 edited images to choose from.
How long does it take to get the proofs back? This varies with the time of year, and amount of business during our peak summer season it could take several weeks. The reason for this is that I personally edit and correct all images that I photograph.
Can we view the proofs online? Yes, every session includes a password protected website. This website makes it easy for you to share your portraits with family and friends, they can even order their own copies from the website. Online proofs are usually posted a couple of days prior to you receiving your proof set.
When I order enlargements, how long will it take to receive them? Most orders ship to you within a week. Some items, large canvas prints for example may take a little longer.
I would like to make Holiday Cards with these portraits. We offer several styles, and many designs of greeting cards. Also you can purchase single images digitally for use on cards etc.
Can I get the portraits on CD/DVD? Yes, we offer CD's of your edited images, for $299 for portrait sessions or $499 for weddings and single images for $30 each.
What is a photo book? We offer custom designed and printed, hard cover, books. These books would contain all of your edited images. You can view samples in the studio.
How many people can I have in my session? We can photograph groups of all sizes, there is an additional charge of $75 for groups larger than 15.
Can we include our pets? Yes, we are very pet friendly. They complain less than the guys! :-)
We have several families in our group, can we be included in one session? Yes, we have two hours. We will gladly shoot each family, and photograph different break downs of each. The only drawback is there will still only be one proof set and one enlargement credit in this situation.
Will Bud Taylor Photography come to our beach house? Yes we will come to you. We can also suggest several beautiful location that we use regularly if your location is unsuitable.
What should we wear? You can wear anything. We suggest that everyone wear similar colors. Avoid bright primary colors on beach sessions. For a timeless look, you could try khakis or jeans and matching shirts, usually white. You can also leave the shoes at home, were at the beach, it's against the rules.

What is a Studio Enlargement Credit? This is like free money. You can use the credit toward any enlargement product or size, from wallets to 30x40 inch Gallery Wrap Canvases.(Not available on Photo Books) It offers you an opportunity to design your own package and sizes.
